Mining[]
Gold Ore is obtained from mining Gold Ore nodes in the wilderness.
Mining Gold Ore requires the use of a Tungsten Alloy Pickaxe or an Electric Rock Drill.
Locations[]
Gold Ore does not spawn in fixed locations, but in terms of progression it first appears in the Red Sands region. It will randomly replace another node type (any).

- Gold Ore can be smelted into Gold Ingots at an Electric Furnace with the Memetic Specialization: Precious Metal Refining.
- Gold Ore is used as a material in the Formula for Solar Drill, providing the maximum possible boost of 40% for Copper, Tin, Iron, Aluminum and Tungsten (aka "Normal" Ores.)
