Electric Rock Drills are the first tier of drill. Capable of mining all ores, Electric Rock Drills also have higher efficiency allowing the player to mine nodes faster and gather more materials when doing so.

Crafting a Electric Rock Drill requires the player to unlock the memetic node: Electric Drills (7 cipher, 
2000), meaning they can only be obtained during or after Phase 2: Tame the Staroid. Electric Rock Drills can only be crafted at an intermediate or advanced supplies workbench.
